MXE DTH HAMMER
Our DTH hammers are the result of the joint effort between Boretek and its customers.
ABOUT OUR DTH HAMMERS
They are characterized by providing objective and measurable advantages in relation to our competitors. The Boretek hammers are able to meet the requirements of the most demanding applications around the world, which has allowed Boretek access markets as competitive as the underground mining, mineral exploration, oil and gas production, and geothermal energy. Innovate on a global scale is what moves the Boretek team, for this reason the Boretek DTH hammers are designed in Chile and manufactured in Canada and the U.S., designs that are protected by international patents.
Oil, Gas and Geothermal Energy: Boretek has established an agreement with an US company for the joint development of a DTH hammers line for high depth drilling that presents reliability and drilling speed levels never seen before in the industry, line patented in the U.S. and known as OXG.
Mineral Exploration: Boretek is currently developing a new line of DTH hammers for mineral exploration whose design is protected by patents in the U.S. This line, known as MXE and like the OXG line, is characterized by reliability and drilling speed levels unparalleled.
DESIGN TOOLS
- HSS 2 The second generation of the Hammer Simulation Software (HSS), a tool developed by Boretek engineers, allows the simulation and optimization of complex pneumatic systems. This multi-physics system makes use of thermodynamics, fluid and rigid body dynamics, heat transfer and tribology to simulate, calibrate and optimize the models and designs to improve our products performance.
- ISS The Impact Simulation Software (ISS), a tool developed by Boretek engineers, is a software based on the finite elements methods that allows the calculation of impact efficiency (energy transmitted by impact) and in general the calculation of the energy distribution, spatial and per body, after the collision of two or more bodies.
- FEA All the Boretek products are designed using state of the art Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Through this, the reliability and durability of our products are ensured for the benefit of our customers. We run fluid flow simulations besides static, dynamic, and impact simulations on our bits, pistons and on other critical parts of the product.
- 3D Modeling We use 3D modeling software for the development of all our products. This speed up their design, manufacturing and customization. These models are shared with our customers to facilitate the learning and usage of any particular technology.
